hernaman86, thank for taking the leap in organising this.
Stick me down, please, if you wouldn't mind.
Rockstar, if you want to share a lift, let me know.

Re: Lakenheath base tour
I would like to be added to the list please, if there's space. As with others, the static display, control tower and preserved a/c are of the most interest. Oh, and the last chance checks, but they don't list that
Re: Lakenheath base tour
Well done for initiating (can`t spell that !! ), this.
How do I get added to the list ?
Kind Regards

Re: Lakenheath base tour
My only concern to you arranging this group tour is that I’m sure this list will exceed the 40 persons aloud. There is only one gold for all us folk and that’s to get up close to the aircraft. Unless you can arrange more than 1 tour, I think you either have to say first come first served! Or 1 person per member posting or put all names in a hat? It will be interesting to see how this pans out but hopefully we can all get on the base at some point and enjoy the Heath...

Re: Lakenheath base tour
If it ever comes to fruition then I have myself and another person to add to the list, however list seems to be getting loner and longer!

Hi
have been thinking of organising a trip myself, have not been on the airfield for decades.
If you have any places left, please pen me in for 2.

Hi All
I Am sure Heraman will organise a good tour. I need to say you will only be aloud on by coach maximum of 40 people.
Heraman will have to submit a photocopy of your driving licence or passport months in advance and this must not change,if you turn up on the day with a different one you will not be allowed on base. Base tours can be cancelled at short notice. There is plenty of parking in the viewing area at lakenheath. Hope this little bit of info helps all.

Re: Lakenheath base tour
Hi all, sorry I haven’t posted, been away,.
Okay so the response has been amazing, thank you all, I have easily hit the target, unfortunately guys I can only take the first 40 who contacted me via messages and on this post (I think that’s fair)
I have the user names and will send you guy messages confirming if you are in over the next few days, I will hold back some others too as reserves in case people can’t make the date we get (sorry if you don’t get a message)
I will send off the paperwork today, below are the agencies I’m going to opt for in priority, if we have to wait I’m fine with that, I think we are all the same, we just want to get close to the F-15’s and I’m sure this is the most popular tour so I expect there might be a bit of a queue for this.
• Aircraft static display (Due to mission requirements and high demand, requesting this demonstration may cause a longer wait for a tour date)
• Life support (pilots’ flight equipment)
• Fighter squadron tour
• Armory demonstration (weapons)
Aircraft control tower
• Military vehicle operations/ vehicle display
• Radar approach control
• Airfield management
Once we get a date we can plan how we get to and from the base ect ect
Hope this is okay
