If the C-17 was from Dyess, does that mean we're expecting B1's?
More likely. Tho the exercise deployments (as opposed to the smaller as hoc deployments) have tended to involve b-1s and b-52s (and sometimes b-2s) for the last few years

Question is: C-17 departure or arrival of something else?

Or, given the longer window, both.......???

3 B-52's are expected, although as other posters have suggested, if it has come from Dyess then there's a very strong possibility of B-1's, especially as they have often been involved in the previous exercises too.

So are you thinking 3 x B52's PLUS Bones, or a mixture of 3 air frames

Thinking 3 BUFFS. At this moment though, only support from Dyess AFB has arrived. Believe a Kalitta Air from Dyess AFB due in tomorrow.

The support for the B-52’s could have been transported by road to Dyess, making it more convenient for air pick up.

Will we ever see the day that a thread relating to a Bomber Ex in the Fairford section doesn't descend into disarray before the aircraft have even arrived?

Thread will be cleaned up. Please only post factual information, speculation just leads to mis-information and frustration to the members.

So can we expect something to be airborne for FFD about midnight GMT in US?

People do tend to completely loose their minds in the run up to this. Keep calm and wait patiently...

Not that convenient, it’s 1,232 miles south from Minot to Dyess!

Thought I saw somewhere that B-52’s were coming from Barksdale?

I thought it was Minot mentioned but maybe that was wrong!

Minot was mentioned on Scramble, but that idea seems to have been brushed under the carpet.
Only stuff from Dyess has been over so far.
It seems most likely Barksdale for Buffs, what I have seen so far.
But as always, we wait and see...my B&B is booked!! :D :D

Thanks Alan, a NOTAM is in place from 18:00 - 22:00, and with it's current position, seems destined for FFD at that window.

RCH782 Departed at 12.33 - I know a Fed Ex is due at some point...

Why is this info being posted in this, yesterday's, thread when there is a current one for today??
Cheers
