Can't say if the general public can access USAF weather. Not done it for some time, then we were ringing from an airfield and it might have been a favour. Their base had to be really unto date 24/7, it seemed the Met Office struggled when conditions were more unpredictable. The Met Office has improved but I still wonder about some of their forecasts. From last week's transit it would seem that USAF weather is still very good considering the pilot prepping, flight times, distances and synchronisation involved.

Thanks guys, interesting stuff.
If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!
Re: Notam 09/12/17
Publicly available US forces european weather forecasts were withdrawn/discontinued about 7 years ago.
Metars (Meteorological Terminal Aviation Routine Weather Report) are still available for some locations on http://en.allmetsat.com/metar-taf/
Any other forecasts it seems are obtained from either the Met Office or Meteox supplied data.

The service provided by the 21st Operational Weather Squadron at Sembach was withdrawn in 2013 (cannot believe it was that long go I last used that site - seems like a few months ago)big john wrote:Publicly available US forces european weather forecasts were withdrawn/discontinued about 7 years ago
