Hercules C.6 ZH866 [LL]

Post by rh226 » Thu Nov 27, 2014 11:48 am

Noted on LL Nova Scotia yesterday just before 1700Z was RRR5717 operated by ZH866 [43C009].

Looks like it is returning to the fold after its rather lengthy conversion to Mk.6.

Where have you heard about conversion to Mk6? I gather it mentions it on a spotters' website, as someone has told me before.
I have spoken to the Eng Ops controllers in Station Ops and they say it has had a major avionics upgrade (Block 7) - nothing about being re-titled.
A change of Mk would normally be for a substantial change or set of changes.
Perhaps when they have had wing tanks added, that might happen.

Do ukserials.com have a direct line into the MoD? If so, their information should be correct, but are we sure?

No but if you read my earlier post, you will understand why I put this - I said what you just did.
