With that callsign, it's more likely to be a Westland designed craft than a Boeing or a Sikorsky methinks. :)

Noted on the flightline today between 12.40 and 13.55

Merlin EZ-S715, Turkmenistan Government. Overall white with green trim. Departed c.1345
AW-101-612 ZZI00, (to become RNoAF 0262) still in primer.
AW-101-612 0265 in full Norwegian AF marks, serial on a panel above the cockpit. Towed back to flight shed c.13.40
Wildcat AH.1, believed to be ZZ382 but serial requires confirmation. Engine running at 13.55 but don't know if it flew later.
All serials read off with Mk.1 eyeball and binoculars.

Hope this helps,

Kevin

Wednesday 15th Feb 2017
Out on an overcast and drizzley ramp at 08:45 were:

ZR101 Merlin for Norway - fully painted, but Norwegian serial covered
(ZJ127)/L Merlin HC6 new grey colour scheme.

Western end :
(ZJ191) Apache AH1/WAH64D

Incidentally, the 'stored' Lynx/Wildcats appear to have been moved/removed from the western end storage compound. Couldn't see them from a quick drive by.

Cheers

Malcolm,

The stored Wildcats etc have moved;

ZT800 Super Lynx 300 - Yeovil College
ZZ400 Wildcat AH1 - Lyneham with DCTT.
ZZ402 Wildcat AH1 - Gosport with DSAE.

The whereabouts of S-181 the old Mk Danish Lynx cab is unkown at this present time.

Hi Malcolm/Folks

Looks like EZ-S715 is routing towards Compton at 4,000ft, by Devizes (on Planefinder with hex 601860) circa 09:50.

EZ-S715 passed Farnborough at 10:20 towards London. Planeplotter was showing him near Compton earlier so a strange routing to come back south and into london via H3?
