Still some activity at Lyneham

Had a gentleman from a company thats working on the airfield come to look at the landing lights on the poles around the house.
Says they are to be taken down as part of de-commisioning of RAF Lyneham.
Sad day when they come down but not yet for a while becouse both fields where the poles are are currently planted with winter barley and oil seed rape and the farmer doesnt want them on the fields just yet or at least untill harvesting is over.

Wen they are removed you should ask if you can keep one as a momentum of the base.
