They looked like Cs but I was driving so couldnt look. Will post here straight away if any developments. Just enjoying the nice light and the weather in the mean time!

the last two (hoser 31-32) had Hoser 31 declaring an emergency with instrument malfunctions, 32 escorted him on approach before flying the circuit to land.

The location they are parked at and that soldiers are en route to watch over them may have something to do with them being armed, at least Scoff flt were asked whilst inbound last night if they were armed but missed the answer.

Yeh, They are Armed With Flares so dis-used centre it is. They cant park jets on TFD (where they parked armed hercs), Because the tarmac is in such bad condition , its all flaking to peices.

Forgot how close that must have been. With Afterburners then? Were they C models?

First 2 were half burners and 3rd was full. All Cs. 4th went tech, other 2 on ground. Mission kills on a few and are fitted with sidewinders and amraam. Others starting now.

I'm really happy with the pics cant wait to show them :) like i said 3 are still there and are on dis-used, was talking to a few guys over the fence who said they wont be going over the weekend and that if they dont they'l be hangared over the xmas break, no time has been posted for their departure.

Really sorry i couldnt give more of a heads up - i got fed up of painful fingers so got in my car and as i was crossing over 36 threshold i heard them spool up (yes from in my car, they were that loud) so headed back and sprinted to 06 just in time... hope someone gets the other 3!

Good stuff Rick - must have been great to see.
Really appreciate a heads-up from yourself or Liam if anything is known on the next departures. Why would they not go early next week?

You have my word, the second i hear anything i will do my best to get it on here. Got a feeling though they will just decide to get up and go when its fixed. The techies from the heath are there at the moment. The more your there the higher the chance of getting it - everyone thought i was mad going up today but was worth freezing my fingers and melting my face for...
Well thats what they said that they will most likely be hanagared if still there by monday as tuesday they need the space for a repat or something like that which takes place tuesday...

Thanks for the info.

Yes well done for sticking it out. I was there til 12pm (had to be elsewhere this afternoon), and it was bitterly cold - I was a wimp and stayed in the car a lot  I was happy just to see the 6 F15s lined up and get a few photos
