when does flying cease?

Hi all anyone know when flying stops at Lyneham please? I understand its Sept this year just wondered If anyone had heard differant

I was told the end of October but don't qoute me on that.

Apparently June all the Hercs move to Brize but the engineering stays at Lyneham just incase there are problems. Then if it all goes ok then the engineers follow sometime after...a few people from within Lyneham seem to think June is a bit ambitious...

For what its worth, the rumours at the Brize end suggest all Lyneham flying to cease by the end of August...

The difference between Aug 11 and September 11 would i suspect be for any aircraft still on maintenance

Blimey - I always thought is was 2012, living is Swindon, I'll be sad not to hear the Hercs on their way in.

Is there any heads up regarding any flypasts or closing cerimonies?
