Most of it permeates from TVOC in truth!

Any way seeing as how she didn't get her permit to fly till after Waddo last year , and they last a year , how come they're not still valid , like any other MOT!!!

She was given a 3 month extension, that ran out 1st Oct 09 - since then she hasn't had a permit...

She won't get a PtoF until she has a successful compass swing which I believe was in progress earlier this evening -

Pardon my ignorance, but is there a reason why the TVOC couldn't have started all this work earlier, thus ensuring everything was in place well in advance for the start of the show season (and more importantly Waddo). The engineers and crew that keep her ticking over are pulling rabbits out of hats every year and you have to give them some serious respect for that although I can't help thinking the planning/administrative side could help them out a little.
MISSING - x1 Air Force.
If found please return to the UK.

The late start on servicing [March] was due to lack of funding, it wasn't until February they got the large donation to permit them to go ahead.

All going well it may make a trip to Cowes, via Swanage with the Reds.
if you have not been to Swangae to see the reds. the cliff tops either side of the bay are stunning to capture the Reds display

Thanks for the heads up, I'll keep my eyes peeled for that. Although the low clouds are rolling in here so I fear the Reds will only do a flat display at Swanage.
Fingers crossed the Vulcan can make it.

I must be imaging things, could have sworn I just saw XH558 perform a flypast at Lyneham then land.

Unfortunately unless there's a sudden boost in funding it looks very much like XH558 may never fly again - sorry.

It's the same thing every year so I wouldn't panic just yet.
