Hi, went to see family in north devon earlier this week and watched sea king zh542 lift off from chivenor on Monday, approx 13.00 ish. Anyone have a call sign for it? Probably the last time I'll ever see anything at chivenor :@
Cheers

Hi Jon , it was probably "SRG 169" , that is the primary a/c c/s , if the 2nd Sea King got airborne(usually just for training) that would use "SRG 170" .

Was close to Saunton beach and photographed it.

Of course if they were scrambled the c/s would change from "SRG" to "Rescue" & that would be either while airborne or on departure from the SAR dispersal . Cloudhawk :thumb:

Thanks for your help :thumb:

Was on way back from Braunton Burrows and could see him starting up, so stopped and managed to grab a couple pics:

Assume he was only on circuits as saw it heading down the estuary back to Chivenor as we passed Ashford.

Its a far cry from when i used to go there as a kid thats for sure! I used to take a scanner to college too and got in trouble several times for having it on in class!!!

Thanks again
