Nice addition...just finished putting the 1991 log of the show into my DB and its got me really looking forward to getting back on base after such a long period.
Ok, maybe they wont get a Soviet AF AN-72 but with such meagre times show-wise I'd take anything.

Not usually one to moan, but Autogyro? At the prices charged and the level of expectation around this show, it's just.... disappointing. Hope they pull something out of the bag before September. Again, sorry for the negativity.

Can see where you're coming from, certainly not very a exhilarating line up at the moment.

Can't really see this airshow making much of an impact this year. I can't make it anyway due to hols, but if they just about scrape through, it will be interesting to see what happens in the next couple of years.

Fingers crossed

Me and SWMBO were tempted, initially, to go for the full package, like we did every year at Waddo

Glad we didn't, and not going at all :(

I know times, especially post-Shoreham, have changed, but......

Hope it goes well for all concerned ;)

Have to come up with some more stuff fast to entice me to part with my hard earned (and very hard earned for price of x4 adult tickets!)

The cynic in me thinks they are holding back... :ninja:

I'm not sure I appreciate the humour in representing the static aircraft on the airfield map as Nimrods :'(

Does anyone know where the parking for the arrivals day will be and the point of access?

This should give you everything you need to know.

Looks to be north end of the base, the only access point I can think of is the crash gate past the main viewing area, but the entrance to the lane isnt very wide, or in great repair.
Unless they plan on having a route through the main gate?

Mail out from DBH
Scampton Airshow will play host to up to 100 aircraft over the airshow weekend, both in the air and on the ground. Visitors will be immersed in a feast of aviation, meeting crews from around the world, getting up close to aircraft in the static park, as well as experiencing the amazing 5 hour flying display!

The Scampton Airshow gives you the rare opportunity to visit this historic RAF Station and experience its' 100 years of aviation. From WW1 and WW2 and the famous 617 'Dambusters' Squadron, through to the Cold War when Scampton was a key station for the Vulcan.

*Get close to this rich aviation history by visiting the exhibits and displays in the Heritage Hangar, with a limited number of pre-booked tours for the Heritage Museum.
*Visit the Vintage Village where you will be transported back to the 1940's with music, entertainment, re-enactors, old military vehicles and memorabilia; all from a bygone age.
*See Europe's largest private collection of fire engines.
*Meet the serving men and women of your Royal Air Force in the RAF Village. Experience the diverse roles within the RAF and get hands on with equipment used to keep aircraft flying.
*Fast forward to the future in the Techno Zone, sponsored by Rolls-Royce, where a vast range of free fun STEM (science, engineering, technology and maths) activities will inspire young minds.
*With all of this on offer there is a huge amount to look forward to when the kids go back to school in September, plus Scampton Airshow is perfect for families as admission is free to under 16s! Get your tickets HERE!
Up to 100 aircraft? :O quick add up of confirmed i get around 40 if you include airspares. Can't imagine too many more static aircraft

CF-188 is now on the official web-site on static. I think now RIAT is pretty much organised the team can spend more time on the Scampton show, so we should see more additions.

Cheers Paul.
