French Air Force at raf st.mawgan

Hi I have just joined F.C. and confirming a busy day at Mawgan
19 th March
C17 zz172 circuits all day
French Air Force tanker I think kc135 but I would appreciate anybody
Knowing full details and reg
Also in was trainer raf ETPS 0101
It’s not normally this busy with military

Imagine the RAF/ETPS aircraft you mentioned was QQ101, Avro RJ.100 based at Boscombe Down.

French KC-135s seem to be paying quite regular visits at the moment, not sure why.

Keep the reports coming in from St Mawgan.

I think the French KC-135 was 525 from memory as I saw that one on adsbExchange a few days back in the Cornwall area but as pointed out they are fairly regular.

Hopefully someone can give a more positive identification.

Hi Nick,

It was 525 (a KC-135RG), but the date was actually Tuesday 20th, not Monday 19th. Added confirmation of the date is that ZZ172 wasn't down your way on 19th, but was on the 20th.
