Re: RIAT 2018 patches
Been to Marham families day. A CV-22 was on static, crew selling as the norm, patches started off at £10 each or 2 for £15. By the end of the day they were £5 each

Re: RIAT 2018 patches
I hope you picked up like 20, I'll definitely have a couple
Passed them up in the past, not paying £15+ a piece.

That’s insane. The hobby is getting more and more expensive but I would never pay that for a current patch.

Another aussie one on ebay.starting bid £60!!
Re: RIAT 2018 patches
If only these morons knew that they could buy it direct from Bomber Patches, and have it shipped at less than half of the price of said starting bid......
The only time I would ever consider paying that much for a recent patch, is if it was released in very low numbers and will never be produced again. I have only done it for one patch. With that said, if I had my time again, I'd have been more patient. A few months later, I could have snagged it for £20-£25 on fleabay in a last minute bid and saved £**. I wasn't amused, but what's done is done. Lesson learned.

Doubt they could get the chance. Its 'SOLD OUT'
Re: RIAT 2018 patches
Patience is a virtue.... Kerry will re-stock, as he always does for recent patches.
Re: RIAT 2018 patches
Very impressive!
Mind if I ask where you got that turkish F-4E patch from? It's a patch I've been looking for quite a while now...

Photobox was so much easier to use but since they have started charging a fee I have switched to Flickr. RIAT 18 was a great show and also a great show for patches. Prices did seem to vary between nations and even on different days. And while I did spend a bit I have gone for several years now and always expect this so I saved up and worked some discounts. Some were free as well or through trades. And lastly some of these were purchased from the patch boxes of Squadron Prints and Aviation Bookshop both of which I highly recommend. And like James said earlier it's nice to see what others got and see what was out there and some that we still want to get. Its by no means a post to boast about who got more or who spent more. So here you go.

It was a random find in one of the odds and sods boxes at the Squadron Prints stand. They always have several boxes of random patches and you can find some great patches in them.

A little more than 2 weeks on, I've managed to fill some holes for patches I was unable to get post the Friday. Thanks to friends who attended Sat/Sun and some good purchases I've added the following.

Re: RIAT 2018 patches
does anyone know when / if bomber patches will re-stock the Australian wedge tail patch? as others have said, I don’t really fancy the £60+ price on EBay!

Re: RIAT 2018 patches
Is it some form of policy why the like of the Finnish and Swedish don't usually sell at shows? I think the only one from either nation I have in the collection, was the Midnight Hawks one the team was giving our in FRIAT last year. Same could be said for the Middle Eastern countries

Re: RIAT 2018 patches
Yes it does seem the Swedish and the Finnish have some policy preventing the sale of merchandise. As for the middle eastern countries this is also true but more based on culture. At least the Pakistani crew were very generous this year. The Jordanians only ever bring stickers and even those this year were hard to get. I went over three times this year and a different excuse every time. So no Jordanian RIAT stickers this year.

Shame about the Swedish and Finnish, wonder if it's the same at their own shows? Finland is on the hit list of shows to visit, so might find out one year
Nice haul Todd, looks like the Austrians have adapted their desert patch over the years, it was a dark background when they were selling at Waddington all those years ago

Brilliant, thank you very much! Missed it on the day and can’t believe how much they are going for an EBay, but then again I suppose it is only what people are willing to pay!Red-Eye-Knight wrote: ↑Sun Aug 05, 2018 4:23 pmI messaged them last week as i want one too and they said 10 days or so and that was on Wednesday so end of this week start of next hopefully...Hope that helps youLuketurfrey1 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 04, 2018 10:43 amdoes anyone know when / if bomber patches will re-stock the Australian wedge tail patch? as others have said, I don’t really fancy the £60+ price on EBay!
