I couldn't find a Midnight Hawks stand. Would anyone please point me in the right direction for tomorrow?

I only hope they have some patches left!

Should have pointed out, they didn't have a stand. The crew came into the FRIAT Enclosure and were handing out patches.

Ah, thanks for that. Had I have seen them, I would have bitten off my (or their) hand to have got hold of one. I'm just going into a quiet corner for a cry...

No worries, sorry to hear you didn't manage to catch them!

B-52 & B-1 crews were selling today, though.

Are the Japanese selling? I suggested to one of the aircrew last year that they bring some on their next visit over here. I'm surmising that he agreed with me - well he was smiling, nodding and bowing a lot... :ninja:

Thanks.

I picked some up from the Aussies, US Navy Poseidon, Soloturk, HAF, B-52 and the Belgians. I refuse to pay the kind of money that the Lakenheath folks were charging.

If you see the Midnight Hawks handing out patches again (unlikely, I know), please direct them to the 6' 6" bearded and sad looking bloke on the grass in the RIAT enclosure. :-)

Cheers.

I've only just started collecting so every day I get a new patch is a good day. 11 is a new daily record. Just please don't tell Mrs Flour!

Thanks, you too!

Happy days; I managed both a Midnight Hawks patch (that really made my day) and got a Ukrainian AF Solo Display Team patch off of one of the team members flight suit.

Happy boy.

Can't believe the Midnight Hawks were giving patches and remove before flight tags away in FRIAT :Wow: well done for them not charging silly prices. Didn't want a donation either, would quite happily of paid

It seems like a few units are favouring the PVC patches just like the old Italian air force ones. At least you aren't getting any dodgey fakes being made, however Lakenheath charging £15-£20 for each patch seems a tad excessive. What were the Belgium display patches selling for if I could ask?
There's some nice patches there.

Belgians were asking £7 for PVC and £6 for the cloth. Cut my teeth in the hobby on the older italian patches

That seems a bit more reasonable £7 v £15. You don't see many old PVC Italian patches around anymore. Thanks for sharing the information.
