RAF Phantom patch question EDIT with pics 1/3/17

Post by iainpeden » Thu Feb 23, 2017 11:46 am

As an avowed Phantom Phanatic (I believe tablets are available!) I have quite a few bits and pieces and a number of patches. I have patches from all the AD squadrons and the OCU, but have never managed to find anything for the strike or recce units. Essentially that's 2,6, 14, 17, 31, 41 and 54.

If anybody has a spare/swap/for sale one I'd be interested.

Thanks
Iain

The last 14 Sqn F-4 patch I saw sold on E-bay for about £160.00+ and some of the other sqns were not far behind!

We have this 2 Squadron patch on display at the Bentwaters Cold War Museum and no we didn't put the stable through it !!. Three large patch display boards used to hang on the wall in the sheet metalwork shop in hangar 74 when Bentwaters was active, we now have them on show in the museum.

I have a number of crests for the Sqns listed which probably date to the Phantom era, but no tac patches. However, I've got a few a few images which may be of interest Iain.

Gary,

It's a Jag patch, not a Phantom one.

A great pity that they didn't operate the Toom...

An anniversary/disbandment "special" in gloss black, with the Saint in yellow, would have been a sight to behold.... Much like their legendary Bucc....

Some nice patches listed!!
