WHY ???

Havent there been enough Gripens over the years to satisfy you ?? Or is it a reggie spotter thing ??

Well done to the Airshow team for managing to get what they have, so far. With the US non-participation anywhere they have had a really hard job this year.

I note that the Austrian participation has now developed into an air policing demo, involving two ef2000s and their Herc.
A very welcome and unusual addition to the show. Well done the Leuchars team.......way to go! :thumb: Alan.

Now I am happy
SHOW TIME FOR AUSTRIAN HERCULES AND TYPHOONS

Three Austrian Air Force aircraft are set to mount a spectacular mid-air role demonstration as part of the flying display at the Leuchars Airshow 2013. This is the first time that their display has been seen at a UK Airshow.

Taking a starring role at the RAF Leuchars Airshow will be two Typhoon aircraft from the Austrian Air Force who will demonstrate the operational capabilities of Europe’s most advanced combat aircraft in displaying an interception and subsequent forced landing of a C-130 Hercules.

For more on this story visit: http://www.airshow.co.uk/news/item/30-s ... d-typhoons

For more display information or to purchase your tickets, please visit www.airshow.co.uk

We hope you can join us on Saturday 7th September!

Interesting to see that the Finnish Air Force will be at Valley during the show with a number of Hawk Mk66's. Along with the Saudi's at Coningsby they(the show organisers) could have the potential to gain a couple of star attractions, although I think the Saudi Typhoons will be out of reach due to diplomatic reasons, however there is always the A330MRTT or C130. Are the Saudi's keen on golf :)
