Torbay Airshow
Torbay Airshow
I am surprised that there has been no mention of Torbays airshow this week end.
Paignton green appears to be the main focal point but are there any better vantage points away from the crowds?

Re: Torbay Airshow
I went last year and unfortunately there are no real vantage points away from the crowd line, which is along the front at Paignton Green. Any high ground is too far away.
Also, the display line appeared to be half way to France which made photography very difficult, admittedly my strongest lens is only 300mm.
In saying that it was a pleasant afternoon out and as the weather forecast looks good for this weekend I will probably venture along on Sunday.
Hope you enjoy the show.

Reds, Typhoon (x2) and Strikemaster have arrived. BBMF are operating from Coningsby, with the fighters stopping at Kemble.
Re: Torbay Airshow
A local Facebook site has the BBMF overnighting at Exeter Saturday. This was taken from a BBMF movement sheet.

I believe vampires cancelled and are being replaced with the Bristol Blenheim

Re: Torbay Airshow
My best advice for viewing is to go onto Roundham Head. I went there last year as Typh Disp Pilot said that was his center line/datum. Better for Reds and Typhoon more than anything else but I enjoyed it up there!
