Weston Air Festival

Post by Alfie » Fri May 18, 2018 1:25 pm

Everything seems very quiet on the Weston Air Festival web site apart from giving the dates for this year's event 23/24th June, all the other details are about last years event including the flying programme. As this event is barely a month away I would have thought more information could be forthcoming. Any details I have found out have come from the participants own sites.

Programme coming soon, according to the organisers on Twitter.

I've seen self confirmations from the RAF Typhoon, Red Arrows, BBMF (Trenchard), Catalina, Team Raven, Strikemaster, Norwegian Mig-15 & RNHF Sea Fury.

Post from the Helicopter Museum earlier in the year suggested that Danish, Italian & German helicopters would be present on Beach Lawns. Danish allocations released a few months ago confirmed an AS.550.

I had two enjoyable days at Weston. Only gripe bit out of the organisers control probably the crowd line was moved further back and the flight line seemed further out to sea. If it gets any worse it may be better to watch from the Welsh side of the Bristol Channel.
