RAFA Shoreham Airshow 2010 - 21st-22nd August

Just a quick message to let you know about this year's RAFA Shoreham Airshow 2010 on the 21st-22nd August.

This morning, we're delighted that we've been able to confirm the attendance of Avro Vulcan XH558 on BOTH days of the airshow. She made for a spectacular sight over Lancing College last year and we thrilled to be able to bring her back which hasn't been easy in these cash-strapped times. Thanks to those out there who've made it happen.

Our other big highlight of the show is the launch of the RAFA Wings Appeal for 2010. Helping us out on Saturday will be the Red Arrows flying in formation with a Spitfire and Hurricane of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. The Blades display team are another important participant for the launch. We also have good support from the RAF and are looking forward to hopefully having three Harriers at Shoreham Airport over the weekend.

A slight update to the participation is that our Chinook has turned into one of the new Chinook HC3s!! We also have the Tucano team on the ground as well as Harriers from 4(R) and 41(R) Squadrons. It is hoped the RAF King Air will be landing on after it's display too before returning to Bournemouth later in the day tomorrow.
