I agree this looks like a very nice line up so far. Does anyone know when the organisers will confirm their final listings as we are now only 2 weeks away from Show date.

As one of said organisers, there is no "final listing" as such - just a case of what's booked in by the time the flyin starts!

The list on our website is more or less up to date - though we do have some announcements for this afternoon!

Worth making it clear again that this is not an airshow, there are no flying displays, only aircraft arriving before, and departing after, the static park is open to the public.

Latest participation update with less than two weeks to go now. If you've not bought your tickets, there's no time like the present!
facebook.com/thresholdaero wrote:#Gazelle50 weekend participation roundup!

As well as the French Army we announced earlier in the week, a couple more Gazelles have now booked in, namely G-EZZL and G-CTFS (former G-OJCO).

Autogyros G-CBNX and G-MARL, Cabri G-TRDS, and Hughes 500 G-HUEZ have also booked in for the event, bringing the total to 39 aircraft so far.

We're still waiting to hear back regarding Army Air Corps (yes, really!) and QinetiQ participation and of course there may still be more booking in before the event.

If you've not yet booked your tickets, do it now! You won't regret it! http://www.threshold.aero/events/fly-in ... in#tickets

Three new additions for Saturday's event -

G-ROYM Robinson R44 Private
G-KETH Agusta Bell 206 JetRanger Private
OO-VBA Agusta Bell 206 JetRanger Private

We're still waiting to receive confirmation from QinetiQ and, surprisingly, the AAC. As soon as we receive confirmation from these or any other operators, we will let you know.

Tickets, which can be purchased from the Museum of Army Flying website are now selling very quickly indeed.

Hi. I have brought tickets to attend but can't get there till about 12.30. I assume that car parking will be OK at that time?

Thanks,

I'd suspect so, you'll need the organisers to confirm though.

French have arrived.

Just wanted to congratulate everyone involved in staging today's event. The weather obviously played its part, but the entire show was very friendly and relaxed, with an excellent selection of fixed wing and rotorcraft well laid out for photography. Watching all of the participants depart was an added bonus! I also enjoyed the selection of sales stands. All in all, a very fitting and well-priced tribute to the Gazelle, Whilst my interest id primarily military, some of the civilian machines looked very sleek indeed.

Full marks to the ALAT Gazelles for their immaculately timed formation start and then their hover taxi along the crowd line to their (presumably?) overnight parking spot outside the AAC Hangars.

When's your next event chaps?

Kevin

Echo your comments, Kevin. Fantastic event, very well organised and the museum was also brilliant.

French hover taxi along the crowdline was immense! :thumb:

Next event for me is Abingdon next month, bit of a break now.

Can only agree with the other comments. A truly wonderful day. It was a pleasure to walk around the aircraft present with no barriers or rope to foul a photo. French taxi along the crowd line was epic. (most of the cut grass seemed to end up in the tarmac car park outside the museum :D ). I can't start to imagine the toil and hard work that a lot of people must have put in to make all this happen. A very well deserved pat on the back guys.
