Looking forward to this, should be a good show. :thumb:

Hurn airport will be an interesting place too, and a certain 'tin triangle' arrives on Thursday.

There's a viewing enclosure at the airport. It's £4 a car with a good view of the runway, but there is a high mesh fence in front of you, so steps are recommended.
Pretty much most of the aircraft will be operating from there.

At the beach the show is between the two piers. You can either view from the clifftops or go down on the beach to get closer to the action.
The good thing is you don't have a crowd line as such, only the sea, so there's plenty of room if you go right to the shore for photos.

Went down to the beach on Friday to watch the show. It was dry with very low cloud and windy, but everyone bar the Vampire (not sure if wx or u/s) got up and performed. :thumb:

Well done to all the crew and pilots who got out there and impressed us, even though they were limited to flat displays. It was much appreciated.

All flying postponed till 2.30pm at the earliest today due to the appalling weather conditions. :(

Drizzle, wind, low cloud and poor visibility. Is it winter already? :grr:

All flying was cancelled today except 1 x black cat

thanks!

I feel for you, but sadly the weather and conditions made it impossible to fly today. I was at the airport around 2.30pm and the visibility was terrible.

As a local I'm gutted, but for someone who traveled many miles to see a display, well I can only imagine the disappointment.

Unfortunately we're at the mercy of the weather and it just wasn't clearing at all and currently still hasn't.

yes also as a local I feel very much for those who travelled a distance, and for the people on their hols, but as far as the weather is concerned it's a case of pot luck!!

Tomorrow sounds a bit better, courtesy of UKMO (hope you dont mind !) near as dammit locationwise !!

"Forecast for New Forest National Park for Sunday

A damp and cloudy start but conditions improving throughout, and sunny and dry during the afternoon." Fingers crossed y'all !! :thumb: ;)

Wind has dropped right down which is good, but currently still overcast with low cloud, but not the pea soup we had on Saturday.

Really hope it does clear later and we can have some flying today.

Yep, not only for us, but with the jets, including the Vulcan being based at Hurn, it meant they couldn't get out to display elsewhere either.

Sod's Law that the sun has come out this afternoon too. :grr:
