Durham Tees Valley Airshow

Post by The_Edge » Tue Apr 07, 2015 7:34 pm

Hi Guys,
As many of the local spotters up here will know, but for those who don't..It looks like it's second time lucky to get the Teesside Airshow back up and running.
Details are sketchy at the moment, but it seems a company called Skylive have taken over the planning etc of the show so things are looking up..pardon the pun.

Regards

Gary

The first Teesside airshow in 25 years is set to take flight with air displays, on-the-ground fun, classic cars and live music.

Skylive have partnered with Durham Tees Valley Airport to bring back the Tees Valley Airshow to the region, last held in 1989, as dozens of planes, helicopters and classic cars set to thunder into the North East on August Bank Holiday weekend!

The one-day festival - called Skylive - takes place on August 29 and includes an army display team, a never before seen World Record skydive attempt and a wide range of aircraft - with everything from modern day jets through to classic British fighter planes, aerobatic display teams and the roar of the Battle of Britain Spitfire.

From the SkyLive website "The thunderous XH558 Vulcan Bomber, which retires in 2015, will be appearing in the skies overhead Teesside at this year’s airshow"
