Re: Abingdon Air & Country Show 2015
with the 2014 airshow season rapidly coming to a close,it's now time to think and plan ahead for 2015
Neil Porter has already done a great deal of work kick-starting the process for next year's 2015 Abingdon Air & Country Show on May 3rd,with the following air and ground attractions already confirmed(subject to all the usual caveats that could crop up over the winter);-
Flying Displays:
Rockwell OV10 Bronco - Tony DeBruyn
Jet Provost T3 - Neil McCarthy
Pitts Special - Lauren Richardson
Ground Displays:
Tank rides with T55 returning with live firepower demo, and the first showing of a Czech built SKOT OT64 8x8 armoured car with turret for rides in (aswell as the Abbot Self propelled gun and MV432 armoured vehicle)!
Amusements include the giant Pirate Ship.
World War Two re-enactment groups including the Bicester Home Guard,Allied Assortment and 86th airborne.
Ferret Racing & Portsmouth Model Boat Display Team.

Re: Abingdon Air & Country Show 2015
Neil Porter has just issued this update on the 2015 Abingdon Air & Country Show page;-
"Flying Display update: Some of the Military have today confirmed the following - i am pleased to announce the Royal Air Force will in this 75th anniversary year of the Battle of Britain, be supporting us with the full Battle of Britain Memorial Flight - thats Lancaster, Spitfire, Hurricane and their DC3 Dakota! Weather / serviceability allowing, the plan is for these to display almost at the start of the Flying program early afternoon (earlier than normal this year), to all Land for a few hours, before departing later to another venue... something i have worked on with the BBMF since last June & they also with the events team! In particular, the last time the BBMF landed at 'RAF Abingdon' was i think 1990 (could be 89)..
I am also pleased that i have also been allocatted (tho to be confirmed if its happening generally speaking) a truly unique sight again in light of the anniversary, of the pairing of a Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Spitfire with todays modern counterpart, the Mach 2+ capable Eurofighter Typhoon! Details are sketchy at this stage and remember its TBC for this but both are sure to be one of the shows highlights in the history of the show!"
You really do NOT want to miss the AACS this year...tickets available online from the website www.abingdonairandcountry.co.
uk and at Visitor Info Points in Abingdon,Didcot,Wallingford,Wantage & Witney
Please share this news and the poster to where ever and who ever you can to help AACS continue in it's good work in support of the Thames Valley & Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust
