It's a decent show, varied flying programme.
Re: Eastbourne in August 2018
Saturday and Sunday best days to go.Used to be good on Beachy Head but since Shoreham stuff is further away.Just as good either from end of pier of area by wish tower.
Parking can be difficult to say the least, best to use park and ride or public transport into the town and walk to the front.
No f16 this year but reds and typhoon usually do a good display plus varied war birds that come along from Shoreham usually.Best local weather I heard was Saturday this year.

A limited show today, because of rain. Flying delayed until 16.00 when they managed to get in the BoB Spit (AB910), Belgian A-109, Chinook and Thyphoon. Only the Spit came up on 360Radar. There is an AAC Gazelle on the lawns outside the Grand Hotel, which may be the same as was at Fairford - no reg easily visible. Photography is tricky, as this is the south coast but Beachy Head can give some interesting angles.

Did anything go anywhere near Beachy Head? Last attended in 2016 and all we got past the Head on the Sunday was the BBMF and the Sea Vixen. Everything else stayed well clear.Geoff Dreft wrote: ↑Thu Aug 16, 2018 5:21 pmA limited show today, because of rain. The Belgian A-109 was low and close going back to Shoreham after it's display.
The RAs had a singleton followed by a pair that were low and close enough.
Nothing other than that although I left before the BBMF, JP and Spitfire but pretty shore the JP departed to the east and the Typhoon arr/dep from/to the east, so nowhere near Beachy Head.

Was always a lottery as to which way things arrived or departed but back in 2016 anything that entered/departed from/to the West stayed well clear of the Head apart from the two I mentioned in an earlier post.apex wrote: ↑Fri Aug 17, 2018 7:46 pmThe Belgian A-109 was low and close going back to Shoreham after it's display.

Don't know the Typhoon serial but from my office window it appeared to have the "RAF100" red sticker on the tail
Re: Eastbourne in August 2018
That'd make it ZK318.
