Req: Culdrose Sea Harriers

Post by erik_k » Sun Apr 29, 2018 4:42 pm

Is there any spot to see the old Sea Harriers from outside at Culdrose?
Can the Avengers been read from the spottersplace at the north side or what side other?
Any other tips for reading numbers?
I will be there 8/9 or 10 May

You can see the Shars from the viewing area, however the Avengers due to the slope of the airfield are mostly below the sight line from the viewing area, however if you don't mind walking you can see the Avengers on the other side of the airfield if you find somewhere safe to park.
I would avoid the 8th May if I were you as its Flora Day in Helston, lots of traffic and people in the town and usually the airfield is closed for the day.

Thanks for the help. Sea Harriers from the West and north side I guess?
What about activities May 10th, isn't that a public holiday?

No Erik - next Monday 7th May is a public holiday in UK but Thursday 10th should be a normal working day.
