RNAS Culdrose 7/3/16

Post by Skywatcher » Mon Mar 07, 2016 7:44 pm

Evening all,
Had a great afternoon today and whilst out and about I heard on the scanner and saw the following :
2x Hawk depart
1x SAR Sea King
1x Merlin EH-101
1x Avenger T1
And as a bonus ,later on of the Lizard I saw a aircraft carrier ,that appeared to be heading towards Porstsmouth, with one helicopter doing manovuers from it
Any help with the id as to the above would be awsome ,especially ike to know who's carrier it is I saw
Many thanks
All the best
Max

Anytime Max, hope you enjoy your holiday in the lovely county! Ah nice one, if you want to see Culdrose based aircraft without going to the field I suggest a trip to Porthleven.

Yeah sadly the viewing area closed a couple of years ago I believe! Hope you enjoy your next visit to Culdrose, it's a good airfield!
