Hi,
Please can any of you local guys at Culdrose answer me a couple of questions regarding Sea Kings belonging to the ex 771 Sqn.
I have brought them up on Plane Plotter so are they still being flown and if so by who?
Also is there any rumours as to the fate of those Sea Kings?
Regards.
Pete

A few were supposed to be being used as training cabs for the AsAC crews.

771 is still an operational sqn and will be until March 31st,don't think the Bagger training rumour is correct though.
Re: Ex 771 Sea Kings.
At the moment 771 still operating three aircraft
XV666/21
XV670/17
XZ920/24
Training and still some mil SAR. Nominal end date is as Seafire says end of march, but in practice will be a few days earlier because of Easter leave.
It is also a matter of conjecture how many serviceable aircraft they will have by then, as airframes will continue to be taken oos as their hours are up.

Re: Ex 771 Sea Kings.
Just noted XZ920/24 went to Shawbury yesterday.
Glad I went to get it last week now.
So then there were 2 (well 1 definitely XV666/21)

XZ920 went to Shawbury, but it didn't stay there..as it was noted outside 771 hangar this morning.Nnthusiast wrote:Just noted XZ920/24 went to Shawbury yesterday.
