I could be wrong but I think it's pushing it a bit for a full aerobatic display work up and approval before Saturday.

It sounds like it is going to be a great airshow!!

I was just wondering if you could help me, it is the first airshow with my canon 400d. What is the best shutter speed to use and any other settings. I don't really want to muck up on the first display

Thanks :D

It Certainly Will, Are you Just Attending the Show Day or Arrivals As well.

Some of the Other's on the Forum Could offer Better Advice But Here are My Shutter Speeds
I Use a 1100D with a 75-300MM Lens.

Jets/Display Teams 1/1000
Helicopters and Props 1/100 - Only Use a Shutter Speed This Low if you Have a Tripod Otherwise the Image will Blur.

i Hope that's of Help, Enjoy your Day out at RNAS Yeovilton.

One of the Vixen engineers has reported this, this evening:
Next flight on Friday to Yeovilton and will operate from there for a few days then on to Culdrose.
So it seems they intend the Vixen to be at the show but if the next flight is Friday then that pretty much means no chance of display.

Hey! Thanks for your reply!

I am only going on the day and I want to get my settings just right. I have been trying out that shutter speed but on a moving object it keeps blurring! Maybe I am doing something wrong. You too, have a good one.
