Yes, last time they were present was 2015. Got a feeling it could be Romania.

Let us hope that someone on the committee has a word and they manage to wheel out more Wildcats than last year!!

Or at least allow you access to the open hangar doors for a glimpse.......

Trouble with wheeling out the Wildcats is that Yeovilton Airday is no longer run by the Navy but a private events company, and there may be problems with access and insurance. Apart from the fact last year there was no Blackcats display or Commando assault, and the reason I was given by the static Wildcat crew at Weston Air Display was a lack of men, machinery, and other commitments taken on by Yeovilton aircrew.

I can’t make the show next year, but I’d have the powers that be consider what we witnessed at the St Dizier show this year.
Previously the large central maintenance hangar has been ‘out of bounds’, but this year some of the doors were open allowing access into a small barriered area within from where all aircraft could be viewed. The most impressive part being the young airforce lady who spent the weekend spotting the spotters and then preceding to quote all the serials of the hangared aircraft in the correct clockwise order!

The Flying Bulls excellent contribution to UK shows in 2018 continues at Yeovilton with the Bristol 171 Sycamore and MBB Bo105C both taking part in the flying display! :thumb:

Not that overwhelmed by the additions of the Flying Bulls. I think I would have rather seen an Apache display (sadly not happening this year) and please, please could we see a Chinook again.
