Would be nice if there was something inside the C-17. I wonder how tricky it would be to get the wings off a JSF :halo:

Yeovilton have the Official 100th Anniversary celebrations of AugusaWestlands - with a portion of Static dedicated to it, with a range of there helicopters and more taking part.

Lets Hope for an Italian Merlin, Korean Wildcat and maybe a surprise or Two.

The RAF E-3D that cancelled has been replaced by a NATO unit instead.

News/Participation Update

PARTICIPATION UPDATE:
Pitts Special S-2S - Richard Goodwin (Flying)

PARTICIPATION UPDATE:
AT-6D Harvard II - Kennet Aviation (Flying)
PARTICIPATION NEWS:
As expected, but disappointing nonetheless, we have been notified by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight that their Lancaster will not be attending the RNAS Yeovilton Air Day. The Lancaster suffered an engine fire in early May and the BBMF have been working tirelessly to get the aircraft serviceable again before the end of the season. We wish them all the best and hope that she will return to Yeovilton next year. In the meantime, the flight will be represented in the flying display with a pair of Spitfires in tribute to this year's 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.
We still have a number of exciting participants to announce in the coming days to complete the flying display. Watch this space...

I was contemplating doing Duxford but just looking at the participation list and at half the price (me + 2 x children @ £35 all in) makes it a bit of a 'no brainer!'

I presume that it pays to be an early bird?

I also note that everything wraps up at 1700hrs so I dare say leaving will be carnage too?

It does yes, Car Parks open at 8am with gates open at 9am.

Not at all, ive never had to much trouble, last year it was 20 mins inside the Field and then once your out the field its very easy to leave the area.
