Any ideas when we'll see the first list, seems to have been a longer wait this year?

If all goes to plan, September's Duxford Air Show will see Demon, Fury, two Nimrods and Gladiator in formation for the first time.

From IWM Web Site
Crowdline Change. Following positive visitor feedback about the change to the crowdline at the Flying Legends Air Show this July, we will again be moving the crowdline forward in the central area of the museum site for The Duxford Air Show: Meet the Fighters (Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 September). The exception to this is the eastern jet pan area of the museum site, which is needed for the parking of jet aircraft taking part in the flying display. To achieve the increased capacity in the central viewing area, we have had to make some difficult decisions, which has led to the Land Warfare end of the site not being a permitted viewing area for the entire weekend of The Duxford Air Show. There will be a small amount of sterile car parking which will be clearly designated. For safety reasons, visitors won't be able to return to their vehicles in this area until after the flying display has concluded. Please assist us by complying with instructions from staff at the air show. This year, air shows around the UK, including at IWM Duxford, have been subject to additional regulations regarding flying display permissions. We are making changes to the crowdline to offer visitors the best experience possible. We hope that you'll understand the reasons behind these changes and we hope you enjoy The Duxford Air Show.

That's bad... I'll spend my day doing something else then, no number of Spitfires can replace the Sea Vixen for me... :@
But it's totally understandable, the flap damage needs to be sorted out properly - no chances can or should be taken.

I shouldn't be surprised if people will stop going to Duxford air shows if they keep doing that & putting the prices up??.

I think the IWM know that they will have an Airshow that plenty of people will want to attend.

Since they have adopted the advance ticket stance and now the 2016 parking charge and being helped by the new CAA regulations, they can be almost certain of making lots of money from each show.

I shall attend both days, looks like a very wet Saturday and a better Sunday, purely because it offers the best chance to photograph some lovely aircraft.

At the end of the year, it will be interesting to compare last year's attendance figures to this year. Attended both shows this year, can't make this week-end, but figures looked way down to my relatively practised eye of 40 years of Duxford shows
I know of quite a few people who have been put off by the 'advanced ticket only', including me!.

Jem

i quite agree, it would not be my chosen way, look at the weather forcast for tomorrow, I would not be at Duxford if I had not had to purchase in advance.

But now that these things are going that way I feel they will never return to pay on the gate.

The Vulcan effect, the two Lancasters and things of that nature have seen a lot of our Airshows go down the route of advanced ticket sales, who can blame the organisers, they know how many people are coming and if the weather is poor the takings are guarunteed.
