Phew. Thank goodness I ordered my tickets in February. I've been to Duxford shows before when, after so long, they have to call it quits and close the gates to visitors. Living in the North East corner of 'Bomber County' the earlier you leave for Duxford (eg 05:30-06:00) the better. I wonder if this will apply to Flying Legends too? I like to be prepared.

I think they got their @rses kicked over the two Lancs last year. Local Police were unhappy with the traffic management and this is a reaction to that. The May show is still on the gate and advanced sales.

Been checking in a few times, are there likely to be any additions? Only addition I've heard about is the Typhoon and Spitfire Synchro Pair.

The Battle of Britain Begins

From 10 July to 11 August 1940, the Luftwaffe attacked British shipping in the channel and drew Britain’s Fighter Command into combat. The beginning of the battle is commemorated by recreating an RAF fighter scramble with pilots running towards their waiting aircraft to chase off the enemy aircraft.

Target London

The German forces turn their attentions away from airfields and towards London in what became known as the Blitz. The Duxford Big Wing, an air fighting formation of three to five squadrons, comes into operation for the first time in a patrol over North Weald. This key moment in Duxford’s history is honoured with a massed flypast of Spitfires taking off from our historic airfield.
