A Newbie Question......

Hi ,All,
I am coming down for the show this weekend,and have heard that the school in Duxford opens to the public .
Will be shooting with a 300mm prime,so is there anybody out there that can help me ??.
will i be better off,at school ? or just go to the show ??
.if so,can i get in with step ladders ??
