What aircraft would you like to see at RIAT 2019
Re: What aircraft would you like to see at RIAT 2019
Spanish AV-8's at Farnborough this year? Italian F-35 at Kleine Brogel two weeks back. Best bet for F-4's is South Korea or Japan as you're most unlikely to see a Greek or Iranian one around here. Certainly potential for Ukraine SU25 and Pakistan JF17...but if they don't come to the UK, then gotta go to their place!
Re: What aircraft would you like to see at RIAT 2019
Any particular reason why we wouldn't see a Greek F-4 here? They've attended in recent times.

I see people are still blaming the organisers for no-shows. They do ask but if countries decline or cancel it is not the organisers' fault.

Unfortunately mate, as you saw in the RIAT Discussion thread this year, lots of people try to point the blame at anyone. It always seems to be the organisers fault, when DBH actually do a fantastic job every year. But you cannot please everyone. 2018 was an absolutely brilliant weekend and I will be going again next year (whenever FRIAT gets emailed out!!)Nighthawke wrote: ↑Thu Sep 20, 2018 6:56 amI see people are still blaming the organisers for no-shows. Sadly the global economic situation, combined with current political tensions with Russia, I think that RIAT 2019 will probably very much resemble RIAT 2018.
Sure we might get some minor changes in participation, but I wouldn't expect to see any spectacular changes.
Personally I think for me, just seeing active Tornado's in the UK skies again will be enough - after all for us that will then be a thing of the past.

Not too fussed what types come but I would prefer to see a few more tactical demo's

I'd like to see the A-4 that cancelled two years ago

You'd still have the time where the Utterly Butterly Flying Circus and the BBMF display
Re: What aircraft would you like to see at RIAT 2019
Very true and now I've quite drinking alcohol there should be fewer toilet breaks required.. If we end up with the great war display team again I may have to reassess the non alcoholic policy again though..ChrisCwmbran wrote: ↑Mon Oct 15, 2018 9:20 amYou'd still have the time where the Utterly Butterly Flying Circus and the BBMF display

Tonka's will unfortunately be all gone by the time RIAT comes around
Re: What aircraft would you like to see at RIAT 2019
Only our ones, no reason why others can't send theirs over!
Cheers

The Italian C27 would be great to see again.
Re: What aircraft would you like to see at RIAT 2019
Yes, but with the proper display this time!
Re: What aircraft would you like to see at RIAT 2019
An F4 phanthom would be a dream having never seen one display also a iskra as they are starting to be retired and of course a mig 21 would be nice after this years unfortunate cancellation.
