Optimistic head - fairford is about 2 miles inside the far eastern boundary of the warning...Maybe
I couldn't decide whether to go Friday or Sunday. I chose Friday....Sundays forecast is fantastic. Arghh.

It looks like the rain is shifting towards the end of the afternoon, early evening. Yesterday they predicted rain for thursday and the fridaymorning as well.

Thick, grey low cloud here all day in south wales (70 miles from f'ford straight line). Fairly dismal day in the beacons.

Would they move the flypast to another if the weather is going to be as rubbish as what it’s predicted or would they just scrap it?

What is rubbish enough? Just a high cloudbase with some rain isn't enough to cancel the flypast. 60% change of rain, about 8 mm spread over an afternoon and evening isn't by far an cloudburst. 10 years ago they performed this in foul weather as well.

£20 to change tickets to sunday is looking like a good idea. I may do that.

The Red Arrows Flypast route notam for today shows them travelling due south, from near, Bradford on Avon, near Bouton on the Water, over the Fairford control tower, then out over Swindon.

I'll be having a late lunch and be in Blunsdon, with a hope that the other elements of the flypast will follow the same track.
