Is there any reasoning why the Early Bird tickets are now allocated by number and not timescale now, previously I have waited till after Christmas to purchase without any problems.

They have "simplified" things.

"We have also simplified our Super Earlybird (£45) and Earlybird (£50) discount which no longer end on a specific date but will change after a set number of tickets are sold. This means that we will, during the year, be selling tickets in different price bands at the same time which we believe offers a better choice of discounted tickets for anyone looking to attend this amazing 'one off' Air Tattoo."

No US Demos have explicitly said "yes" but some notable ones have gaps in schedule coinciding with RIAT.

Wouldn't it be great if their support was a CC-115 before they're retired in favour of C.295s :thumb:

Just to show how everyone is different, most definitely not. I've seen all the CC-115s. I'd prefer a gap-filling CC-130J please....

Mildly off topic but why do the Canadian aircraft often have an extra number on the end as well as the C at the start (Which I'm fairly confident would be for Canada...)?

It's official, latest from DBH:
We are very pleased to be able to announce the first participant for the 2018 Air Tattoo - all the way from Canada!
We have received official confirmation from the Royal Canadian Air Force that their CF-18 Hornet Demonstration Team will be flying at the Air Tattoo in July. The 2018 CF-18 Hornet team's theme will be the 60th anniversary of the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), whilst simultaneously joining in the RAF100 celebrations at RAF Fairford.
Come and witness this rarely seen aircraft in the sky at what promises to be the biggest Air Tattoo for many years.
