A later update for Fairford announcing confirmation for Cosford....an event completed a month earlier than Fairford that the MIG 29 isn't attending ??
My head hurts on every level! :S
I think you've mis understood, or not seen this.

With Cosford confirming the MiG 29 I think a lot of us were hoping that RIAT would also announce the MiG as a participant.

I know RIAT often hold back on key participants, so my post was regarding this, in the hope that the MiG would be announced as attending RIAT in a later update.

Three days until a key date for the RAF and the theme of the show. Perhaps RIAT will make a special announcement?

The new Jordanian Falcons are Extra 300LCs and were delivered through Weeze (the old RAF Laarbruch) late January 2018.....per Scramble

C/ns are LC-069/070/071/072/073, registrations JY-RFA/B/C/D/E (re-used)

Well it's better than grey, but I think it's rather cold and corporate. I imagine it went through a dozen layers of senior officers each wanting to make their contribution. We need a sword in the globe! We need a ribbon! A logo! Slogans!

You could remove the RCAF text and reuse it for a Formula 1 racing-team livery, or a corporate helicopter charter outfit. It's a 'safe' livery with no connection to history.

Absolutely stunning livery!! :thumb: Much better than what the RAF has come up with so far, and seeing as it marks 60 years of NORAD, doesn't really need to link to history. Seeing as special liveries aren't a given any more, we're lucky to have such a great scheme. Roll on July!! :D

It may be ''safe'' but it is 100% connected to history in it's commemoration of 60Years Of NORAD!

Update- 05/04/18
The Finnish Air Force has confirmed its F-18C display will be taking part in RIAT 2018!
Two different types of RAF primary training aircraft will be joining the static display; three deHavilland Chipmunks and a Scottish Aviation Bulldog. All are now in civilian hands and kept flying by their owners. RAF Halton Microlight Club will also send two EV-97 aircraft.
Two Cold War jets will join the static line up; the Hawker Hunter (Hawker Hunter Aviation) and Gloster Meteor (Martin-Baker).
Gulfstream Aerospace confirms it will showcase an aircraft from its family of business jets.
Nice update, IMO. :thumb:

Is that the meeting that's held for those attending FRIAT? Made my final monthly payment at the start of the month, so looking forward to trying it out this year

Yes but, you have to register your interest to be able to attend, believe you're now unable to do so.

Enjoy your first FRIAT. :thumb:
