Liking that.
Imagine we'll get another one tomorrow, at the FRIAT Forum.
Can't help but feel slightly disappointed at the lack of a Slovak Mig-29 though.

Lovely update! I for one, am happy to see the Wedgetail again!
As MRTT says, no Mig-29 (yet)....We live in hope! Maybe the Polish will lend theirs again after Cosford?

Does anyone know what the demographics are for riat? I'd be very interested to know what % enthusiasts was vs Joe public? Also the % of foreign overseas visitors. This to me seems to be increasing.

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2018 Discussion Thread
In order to analyse the demographic you would first need the data set (obviously) and that would require the organisers asking each person:
1. Whether or not they are an enthusiast (needs defining in the question) and
2. Where they are from.
Such a data gathering exercise is riddled with issues and also the accuracy of said data.
Ticket sales are the key driver for airshow organisers not the individuals' hobbies/residency.
I suspect that enthusiasts are a small percentage of the total footfall. As far as foreign visitors are concerned, what is the issue?
Curious as to your reasons for the question.

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2018 Discussion Thread
Thanks for the replies guys. My reasons for the question are just pure curiosity particularly with regard to the overseas visitors. The last few years I have found myself talking with more and more overseas visitors. It never ceases to amaze me just how dedicated and committed they are. I've met aussies, Japanese and guys that came all the way from India just for the tattoo. These were not officials but simply fellow aviation enthusiasts! That is an amazing amount of effort to get to RIAT. I have never travelled abroad for an airshow, so these guys really do impress me with their committment. It also really makes me appreciative that I have RIAT on my doorstep!!
