I've bought a FRIAT package for the first time this year a mach2 and can't wait
I have done P & V in the past, both East and West. To access the grandstand which comes with the Mach2 package on departures day, is the blue car park open for this or do I have to park elsewhere?
Also I will be traveling to the show from the north and usually get funnelled into the green car park, is it possible/ worthwhile trying to get to the blue car park to speed up my entry on the main show days?
Any advice greatly received.
Thanks
Matt

The Blue Car Park is normally opened on the departures day for FRIAT members.

As for the main show days, I'd park wherever it is easiest for your arrival and exit. You can always join the Blue route entrance from the A419 but depending on the traffic situation getting out, you may find you have a significant detour via Highworth/Swindon!

Thanks for the information, think I will just park in green as usual and use the blue on departure day.
Thanks again

Should really have been more specific-referring to seat position relative to aisles

Just a quick question re: FRIAT Grandstand. What's it like sitting in there during show days to get pictures etc? Is there enough room? Do people use the space down the bottom, and what's it like down there? Cheers in advance; first year this year.

Hoping they haven't gone back to the 2016 grandstand where it was like sardines, it's not too bad. A lot of people will go stand in front, which helps out.

Ah okay cheers Gary, hope it's roomy enough, but happy to move down to the front if needs - though I'm looking forward to departures :D

The grandstand is usually fullest on Monday. Although no Mach 1 so the front row is available for people to spread out a little. The grass in front can get busy, but it's long enough so everyone has their own space.

The letter sent with the FRIAT pass stated that an email would be sent to members containing more detailed information regarding seating within the grandstand.

Hope that is of some help.

Just logged onto the FRIAT section of the RIAT website for the first time in a while. There is a chance to save £5 on a Key publishing magazine subscription if anyone is interested

There's been some updated info posted in the FRIAT members area. Nothing exciting but the enclosure is listed as closing at 5pm on Thursday, looks like it will be a dash to the P&V for some if there are any late arrivals  Was it 5pm last year?

Yes it closed at 17:00 last year Gary. It was indeed a rush down to P&V to see the SU-27 rehearsal!

Are the disabled lanes to be used by FRIAT members not wanting to use gate J this year?Just read the members section and couldn't see anything specific , used red on Friday last year and saved loads of time queueing by being able to enter via the disabled lane
