Which runway is in use today? The pic posted of the B52 landing looks like 27?? and wind is 10 degrees (so slightly east of North)

air tattoo app states using 27 at moment but may change later depending on wind direction

I have read above that P&V west (near Marston Meysey) is at same distance to runway as east, but is there any body who can tell (or show by map) were exactly the location is from were you can photograph?
Is photography on nearby taxi tracks also possible without sun straight in lens, or only runway?

Thanks for any help!

you could argue that P&V west is better than the east - less crowded if they are using 27

I last went to that end in 2015 and most of the flight line taxis past you right to left to either back taxi or cross over runway 27 to the northern taxi way. They often have to wait to cross the runway. As a number cruncher I didn't feel i was missing anything.

Departures off 27 are ok depending on whether the pilot feels like showing off!

if you look at a satellite image then P&V west is south of the piano keys in other words at the 09 holding point

here are a couple of images from 2015 when the weather was very dull and wet

According to the weather forecast (BBC, Intellicast, XC Weather) wind will be from East on Monday, so I might end up at P&V West.

On Thursday, I stopped for coffee on the M4, got a tweet from RIAT ATC saying 27 in operation, so headed straight o P&V East. Hopefully get the same on Monday, then decide which end.
