Hi,
not having a ticket for Saturday, I am thinking about catching the display-aircraft when landing on runway 27 (depending on the wind-direction of course). Is the road between Whelford and Kempsford accessible by foot and are you allowed to stay in the approach of runway 27? Furthermore; are you able to spot aircraft from the outside, or is most of it fenced-off and obstructing views on the static / display ramps?
Any insights gratefully received.
Regards, Hans

They seem to make it more unfriendly to do this each year. Better than not going at all though

I suggest you read this. Seems as though they are tightening right down on it this year.

We do, yes. Best shut the M25 as well.
From discussions on UKAR, it seems you can stand to the south of the extended centreline of the runway, but won't be able to stand under or to the north of it.
