Last year 216 aircraft attended RIAT.

Do we have numbers for this year ?

It looks a bit down but hopefully I'm wrong.

Just had a quick count up and so far confirmed is 142. This includes 9 each for Reds and Patroille Swiss & Flecce Tricolori teams plus 7 each for other display teams such Jordanian Falcons, Polish & Croatian prop teams. Add 2 or 3 more dependant on how many F-35s turn up as was mentioned 5 but only shows 1 each on confirmed.

Still down I agree but remember there were a lot of Spits and Hurricanes last year for flypast plus a lot more civvies.

So far this year is looking great and from what I'm reading elsewhere there's still more good stuff to come over next 5 weeks.
In my opinion it is better already especially the flying (who cares if we have 4 Vipers!) So much variety and it's going to be longer and louder this year.

I'm still hoping the US turn up trumps and bring a decent set of metal for the ground.

Also hoping for some more US heavy metal. Berlin had a B1 & B52. So hoping RIAT will have the same + a C17 or C5. LN will hopefully oblige with a couple of F15's. RAF static seem a bit poor at moment, hopefully Voyager, Sentry, Atlas & various Typhoons & Tornado's(inc Gulf War special). I await the next few updates with anticipation.
