Post by Gary » Tue Feb 09, 2016 3:04 pm

Had a email from DBH about the annual FRIAT Forum is to be held on Saturday 16th April 2016. If anyone has any questions they would like to ask, please feel free to post them here and we'll try and get anyone who goes along to raise them :thumb:

Not sure if this is for FRIAT meeting or not - But Can you ask what/why the need is for so many enclosures along the flightline, the space for us normal visitors is running out and getting pushed to the ends of the display line or have restrictive views sat/stood behind the enclosures.

For the past few years and especially last year, FRIAT members entering through the gate nearest to Kempsford campsite have been told they need to queue up to enter. Maybe the security or staff on the gates should be better informed to save confusion and frustration. I did mention the problem to a FRIAT member last year but there wasn't a lot he could do although he was aware of the problem.

I am sure this question has been asked before and the response was the Corporate chalets help keep the show going by providing sponsorship for the show, From BAE to Northrop Grumman to many more, especially when you consider how many Air Chiefs attend the event. Koreans delegation came a few times and the result was The Black Eagles, The Brazilian Smoke Squadron was walking about in 2014.

Last year there was a dedicated entrance for FRIAT members at the Blue entrance (the next crash gate along) We parked in the Blue car park, there was some volunteers pointing FRIAT members through a gate and straight to the entrance . They even were shouting for FRIAT members in the queue to use it as I walked passed?
