Yep, came in with the F-16s on Wednesday, departed and returned for static later that week- hoping the 135 may do the same thing!John flightpath wrote:I know, hence the question I remember (2011 I think) the All Stars C130 came in and departed a couple of hours later.

It's only Wednesday afternoon but RIAT is looking very good to me.
Well done to the organisation that sends out the invites etc

Anyone else seen the F-35B display video on Facebook posted by the official RIAT page? Without wanting sounding like all of the F-35 haters, it doesn't look particularly exciting, the take off has the afterburners put on after it's already in the air and way away from the crowd... kinda wanted to see more of a high performance, not to mention loud take off. Hopefully the rest of it or the other display is more interesting, I've heard it's quite noisy at full chat, and was looking forward to experiencing that first hand!

It was a loud takeoff, stood by the fence it was surprisingly loud. Surprisingly quiet on one pass, the back to loud, with some very strange noises during landing.
Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2016 Discussion Thread
Yeah, I'm still very much looking forward to seeing it nonetheless, can't wait for the weekend!

Was very dissapointed by the F35. The display was incredibly sedate and the aircraft itself is in all honesty unimpressive and rather pointless. We should've just bought aircraft carriers with catapults. The Rafale looked aceOlicat wrote:Anyone else seen the F-35B display video on Facebook posted by the official RIAT page? Superb day at P&V East today, way better now that you park on the base instead of having to queue alongside the busy road. Apparently there aren't any Parking Permit ticket things for the show days this year, my Dad printed off all that he was sent and they weren't included, seems a bit weird.
