The ticket info' should be on the Riat website..
If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!

From Riat website FAQ's....

Q. Where can I buy a ticket for Park and View? Answer

Tickets can be bought in advance, either here on our website or by phoning our ticket hotline on 0800 107 1940 (Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm). Children under 16 are admitted free when accompanied by a paying adult.

Your ticket will allow you to move between Park and View East and West as you please during that day, but please note that no transport is provided between the locations.

The FAQ on the RIAT website does not answer the question though- "Tickets can be bought in advance..." implies that there is the option of buying in advance as opposed to "Must be bought in advance".

Furthermore, on their Park and View section it states "On Friday 17, Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 July access to this viewing paddock area will only be available with an Air Tattoo Admission ticket." which would suggest that access to the paddock/park and view area on the Wednesday and Thursday is possible by purchasing a ticket on site.

On the other hand, if you are going may as well buy the ticket in advance just in case !

I agree it is a little confusing, and your thoughts are spot on, I reckon a quick e.mail or 'phone call to Riat should solve the issue, it would be good to know if you can buy on the day, just in case it's nice weather!!

I think it's just show days advanced tickets need to be purchased if i remember rightly the big led roadside board was flashing the price suggesting it's pay on gate.

I asked the question, the reply is

"Yes, you can purchase Park & View tickets on the day – Wednesday and Thursday will cost £20 and Monday will cost £26." :)

Silly prices - considering how few aircraft actually arrive on the Wednesday and Thursday these days.

.......or how few aircraft turn up at all would have done lol! Only about 8 weeks to go and bar Greek f16s and a couple of 2000n's nothing to tempt me to pay those prices for p n v or show for that matter......

Planning on attending for departures day on Monday. Can anyone tell me at what time the departures start ?

I am relatively new to the aviation scene so am a little unsure.

Thanks in advance,

Daryl
