Final Flight Video - 28/10/15

Post by Stacker » Thu Oct 29, 2015 8:58 am

This is the link to my video of the final flight yesterday.

I apologise for the shutter noise but it was filmed using the trusty little Panasonic TZ60 sat on top of my Nikon which I was using for the stills.

If anyone wishes to share it with those not on the forum please feel free to do so

I hope you enjoy it

Cheers

Hi Kev
Really enjoyed that - for those of us too far away to dash to Finningley at 15 minutes notice, it's great to see the whole flight from beginning to end. Having previously looked at the PlanesTV footage, I hadn't realised that she made a touch and go before finally landing - at least you managed to capture the whole flight.
And a good job with the framing of the video - guess you were effectively using the DSLR lens as a 'target tracking scope'.
Thanks,
Steve

Kevin,
I agree with Steve, I too enjoyed your video - Well done, particularly the rare touch and go. An improvement on the video so far published by 'Planes TV'

Thanks for generous comments guys

Kph100 the adapter I use is very similar to this and was a similar price when purchased earlier in the year

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B009HL6 ... oe+adapter

The only drawback with my combination is the noisy shutter on the Nikon. Also I have had to practise st getting the aircraft in frame without zooming too far so as to miss the top or bottom, or it being just an ant in the screen due to not playing with the zoom too much whilst shooting stills.

To be honest this is the most successful bit of filming I've done all year and by contrast the stills are not brill at all

Cheers
