Update on route Saturday:
Vulcan will traverse off original route after Whitchurch Shropshire to pass over RAF Shawbury. Turning right to pass over the North of Shrewsbury then left East of Montford Bridge to the West of Shrewsbury.
Shawbury at approx 1517 hours.

I've seen a suggested take off time of 12.50 for Sunday. Making your approximate times, tornado17, 14.10 and 14.35.

According to our local news report she was diverted away from East Mids because of other a/c in the vicinity.

I did read somewhere, tho' not sure where now, that authority to over fly airports will depend on ATC at the time.

Edited to add:

East Midlands Airport EMA
We appreciate a number of people came out to the airport and surrounding area today in the hope of seeing the Vulcan flyover the area.

Unfortunately, due to safety reasons involving another aircraft we were unable to permit the Vulcan to take its planned route at the time scheduled, resulting in the Vulcan passing further away from its intended route.

We take the safety of our passengers, customers, local residents and staff extremely seriously and this was an instance when our team had to make a decision based on safety.

We're sorry for any disappointment caused but hope you understand our reasons for the decision.

If you really care about the Vulcan then you will travel to the nearest place at which you can see her rather than moaning that you can't stay at home and see it from your garden.

If you want to see her then travel to where you can see her - simple.
Good for you, however you're very lucky that it's only an hours drive for you, it was going to be 6 hour round trip for me if I went to see it yesterday at East Fortune, and as another poster has mentioned Northern Ireland didn't even get anything.
