2 x WILDCAT & 2 X APACHE OTT GRANTHAM 19.11.18

Post by Everett1285 » Mon Nov 19, 2018 2:27 pm

Hi,
Can anyone please help identify 2 x Wildcat helicopters and 2 x Apache AH.1s that flew low over Grantham this afternoon at 14.10 hours & 14.20 hours respectively heading in a north easterly direction presumably en-route Waddington. Serials and operating units if possible would be very much appreciated.

Kind Regards

The wild cats could of been ZZ403 and ZZ407 which are operating out of Kendrew barracks along with eight AH-64D

:D

This is a bookmark  ZZ403 departed for RAF Dishforth around 1450hrs, followed about 15 mins later by one Apache. That left five dispersed in the northwest area of the field. They are visible from the road but only using binoculars, big ones!
Due to depart tomorrow. No reg nos. sorry.

The Ah-64 that departed 15 mins after Wildcat Zz403 was Zj179.Hunter3
Two other Ah-64s that headed north after these two were. Hunter 1/2
Hunter1 Zj186 & Hunter2 ZJ213.
All to Dishforth ,Zz403 has since returned to Cottesmore.
