I saw what I thought was a Mirage 2000D this evening over Abingdon at 18:15bst on a heading that would have taken it towards Brize. Does anyone have an ID for this? I guess it might have been heading towards Fairford.

Also saw it, as it passed over Benson, but thought it was a Typhoon, rather than a M2000. Nothing showing on my AirNav ADSB system.

Seen over Brize. Headed NNE. Climbing. I thought it was a 2000D too. Not seen on adsb or 360radar.

Unfortunately I only saw it tail on but the external tanks looked more like those on a Mirage than Typhoon.

It pretty much passed directly over me and I was looking straight up at - I am sure it had foreplanes. Both my son's and my instant reaction was that it was a Typhoon.
Re: Mirage 2000 over Abingdon 17/7/18
Would make more sense as no-one has reported a Mirage 2000 movement in the UK yesterday.

Ian,
The Farnborough Spotters website has a 2018 aircraft checklist ( http://www.farnboroughspotters.co.uk/ai ... klist.html ) that shows Typhoon ZK337 departing on the 17th, but does not record what time it left. As the aircraft came from that direction, it's possible that this was what we saw.......

Roger,
I think a Typhoon is more likely. I can’t see a Mirage 2000D going unreported in the UK!
