Stopped off at Brize last night and noted the following:
L-R from Runway
Platform
ZM4?3
VOYAGER (FACING AWAY)
ZM4??
HERC
VOYAGER (FACE ON)
ZM4??
VOYAGER (FACE ON)
LEFT HAND SIDE OF RUNWAY 3 HERCS
Can anyone help with idents for these please. Also there is some discrepancy with the con number for 98-6006. I'm getting 3 different ones!
Did you know that registration to Fighter Control is completely free and brings you lots of added features? Find out more....
Brize Norton 27/08/2017
Re: Brize Norton 27/08/2017
The C-32 could be one of three aircraft. You need to count windows, aerial positions and flag location to know which it is.

Cheers mate. Think i'll wait to see it again then as it was getting too dark for all that last night.EGVP wrote:The C-32 could be one of three aircraft. You need to count windows, aerial positions and flag location to know which it is.

One of the 3 Hercs on the left hand side was ZH868/868, the other ones i couldn't read off either.

C-32B 86006, when I saw it at Brize Norton yesterday:-EGVP wrote:The C-32 could be one of three aircraft. You need to count windows, aerial positions and flag location to know which it is.
(a) Had 12 windows between the two doors on forward fuselage
(b) Centre fuselage windows were (from front to rear) a group of 5, a single, and then a group of 19.
(c) Had 13 windows between the two doors on rear fuselage.
Window configuration appears to be the same on port side as it is on starboard side.
After looking at lots of discussions on MSF, I've concluded that the Brize Norton a/c was once N610G. But there must always be some doubt until someone can read its c/n!
Hope that helps. Cheers, TM74

That would concur with Scramble: http://forum.scramble.nl/viewtopic.php? ... 03#p873484
Re: Brize Norton 27/08/2017
Minor correction, TM74 - not "was once" but "most probably is" N610G as that registration still flies (registration is still current) in between using false military serials.tm74sqn wrote:EGVP wrote:After looking at lots of discussions on MSF, I've concluded that the Brize Norton a/c was once N610G. The only problem is that the whereabouts of N144DC are not known and what its current configuration is. When it was with Eastern (original owner) as N501EA, it had 13 windows at the front, but what it has now is unknown.
But as you say, its true identity will not be known unless someone reads its c/n this time round.
Cheers,
Bob
